January 23 Friday.  Burn’s Night Supper.  Location: Independence Park Garden Center. 

Time: 6:30pm.  Muster: 5:30pm.  $10 fee/person; potluck. Winter uniform.

 

February 13, Friday 7pm - The Baton Rouge Krewe of Artemis parade – Pending.

 

February 14th The Baton Rouge Krewe Mystique de la Capitale Parade. Location: Downtown BR

Time: 2:00pm.  Muster: 1:0pm. Uniform: Pending Weather.  Marchers Needed!

 

February 14 Saturday.  Krew of Orion Parade.  Location: By Past Time Lounge.

Time: 6:30pm. Muster: 5:00. Uniform: Winter. Marchers Needed!

 

February 20 Friday.  Krewe of Southdowns Parade. Locations:  Lee High School.

Time: 7pm. Muster: 6pm.  Marchers Needed!

 

February 24 Tuesday. Mardi Gras Day.  New Roads Lions Club Mardi Gras Parade

Time: 1:30pm.  Muster 12:30pm.  Marchers Needed!

 

February 28 Saturday.  The Woodlands, TX.  Solo piping competition, drumming and band improvement workshops possible. Carpool TBA.

 

March 14th Saturday. St. Patrick’s Day Parade. Location: Catholic Life Center at Acadian and Hundred Oaks.  

Time: 10:00 AM. Muster: 9:00 AM. Uniform: weather pending. Flags and marchers needed.

 

March 27-29th Saturday.  Celtic Nations Festival Location: Lake Charles Civic Center, No band or solo competitions, but we may go for the day on the 28th

Time: TBA. Muster:TBA. Uniform: Winter

 

March 29th Sunday. Kirking of the Tartans. Location: First Presbyterian of Hammond. Directions: TBA.

Time: TBA. Muster: TBA Uniform: Winter.

 

April 4-5  San Antonio Highland Games, Location:  Helotes, TX.  Sanctioned solo piping competition.

 

April 5th Sunday. Baton Rouge International Heritage Festival.  Location: Baton Rouge River Center and grounds, downtown BR.

Event start time: 12 Noon.  Muster time:1:45.  Band Performance time: 2:45.  Parade of Nations: 3pm.  Volunteers needed to help at CSBR booth.  Uniform: Summer

 

April 6 Tartan Day.  Band stroll-around downtown to celebrate the day!

Muster and location TBA.

 

April 17-19 Arkansas Scottish Festival.  Location: Batesville AR. Sanctioned solo competitions only.

 

April 24 Friday.  Denham Springs Relay for Life.  Location: DS High School. 
Start time: 9pm. Muster: 8pm.  
 

April 26 Saturday.  CSBR Spring Tea.  Location: Dave and Margaret McDougal’s home, 10644 Allyson St., Baton Rouge, LA.

Time: 3-5pm.

May 2 Saturday.  Amite/Liberty, Mississippi Bicentennial Celebration.

May 9th Saturday. Scottish Heritage Day. Location: Rosedown

Plantation (St. Francisville). Directions: 61N to St. Francisville, right on 10.

Time: 10:00-4:00. Uniform: summer.

 

May 13th Wednesday. State Police Fallen Troopers Memorial.  Location: State Police Headquarters, Independence Park.

Muster 9am. Start time: 10am.    Uniform: Winter

 

May 16 Saturday. Fallen Firefighters Memorial.  Location: LA Fire Marshall’s Office; 
8181 Independence Blvd. 
Start time: 10:30am.  Muster 9:30am. Uniform TBA.
 

May 16th and 17th Saturday and Sunday. Houston Highland Games. Location: Houston Farm and Ranch Club.

June 13th Saturday. LAMREMT Conference (EMT)Location: Holiday Inn

Lafayette. Directions: I-10 to Evangeline exit (103A) – hotel on the left.

June 17th Wednesday. Baton Rouge Firefighter Graduation Ceremony.  Location: Zoar Baptist Church – Central. Directions: Joor and Hooper.

Time: 10:00, Muster 9:00. Uniform: Winter

 

June 19th  Baton Rouge Firefighter Graduation Ceremony.

 

July 3rd Friday.  Kenilworth Fourth of July Parade. Location: Kenilworth Middle School. Directions: Boone off of Kenilworth Blvd.

Time: 6:30 PM, Muster 5:30 PM. Uniform: Summer.

 

August 8 Scottish Education Seminar. Location: Bluebonnet Library. Directions: Bluebonnet near Highland.

Time: 6:30PM.

 

September ? CSBR General meeting/ elections.

 

September 6th Sunday. Wedding – Sarah Wolfe. Location: Broadmoor Presb. Directions: Fla. Blvd across from Bon Marche.

Time: 6:00 PM, Muster: 5:00. Uniform: Winter. (This is pastor Hawley Wolfe’s

Daughter’s wedding. He would like to have the whole band play).
